Yeah, Netflix really has been doing really good this year. I’m just a girl who loves elephants sunflower shirt. Buster Scruggs was also great and Private Life is maybe the most well-written film I have seen all year. I also heard The Kindergarten Teacher is really good. I watched it last year and it probably is the craziest thing I have seen in a long time (on par with Sorry to Bother You). The director also released Devilman Crybaby right after that which was so fucking dark. Also released a kids film like a month after that show and it’s interesting to see how all these two movies
What are elephants meaning?and TV show contrasts with each other, especially considering they all released in the span of a few months. Actually pretty much at the same time as Night Is Short, Walk On Girl. I highly recommend his earlier stuff in case you haven’t seen it yet. And he is already working on his next movie. Is that all the movies you have seen this year or just movies from this year? If it’s the latter, I have no clue how that is possible. I have only watched 47 movies from this year (out of 100 films I watched this year). You should just start keeping track on letterboxed. It’s what I use and a great way to keep track, rate, and write a little note/review for what you just saw. I’m at 85 films for the year that I’ve seen in theaters. I’m lucky enough to be in a market with a lot of small independent theaters that have an insane variety of films released. I get a lot of foreign films that have pretty limited runs.

It’s really not mostly trash/mediocre wide-releases that you would expect from watching 3-5 movies per week. Reminds me of my dad. I introduced him to MoviePass back when they weren’t a shitshow and he watched so many movies that he can’t even remember what movies this year he’s seen and what movies he hasn’t. I only go twice a month at most. The only time I went to a cinema more than twice a month this year was in July when I traveled alone to another country and I still only watched 5 movies that whole month lol (but I watched 4 of them in the span of a week). I would probably watch a lot more if I could drive and tickets weren’t so expensive (they don’t have movie pass or A-list where I live and prices don’t decrease on specific dates or times). Without any sort of movie subscription programs like A-List or the former MoviePass, it is definitely tough to frequently see movies in theaters if you’re not rich. I wish I had the old MoviePass back before the price drop, but at least it should spark more here in the US.
